Great idea, but on cloudy days...
By Randall Mirque
Unless there's a photo cell problem, which I doubt, be extra aware of the location of this Xformer. I bought 2, and the one I placed in open view of the south facing sky, turns on, in broad daylight when it's mostly cloudy, like this morning. The other one, located in a shadier area comes on even more so, on a cloudy day.

Excellent product for me
By BlazoB
This unit works perfectly for my application. I have 20 low voltage units from the back of the house to the barn on one line using lcd bulbs. The unit is on the east side of the house but gets no sunshine at all due to being in the redwoods. It is always shady and often foggy. The unit turns lights on at dust and sometimes when the fog is very thick. I have it set to be on for six hours and that function works well also.

Photo controller
By Peter M. Girling
I needed to replace the controller after an electrical surge (snow storm) fried most of the electronics in an around the house.
The replacement controller works well.
