We use several of these path lights. They're pretty sturdy and illuminate with a nice warm glow. Our two dogs got into a tiff and wrestled into one of them, though, and snapped it off at the base. Although not designed to handle 140lbs of combined dog fury I think they'll do for most uses. Plus you'll be hard-pressed to find anything this nice at twice the price!
